Woodturning increased in popularity throughout the nineteenth century. Initially it was reserved for classical entrances and slender balustrade work but as the Victorian passion for elaborate decoration grew so did the uses found for Turnery. The Woodworkers Company supplies turned verandah posts, newels, balustrades, finials, capitals etc in durable Kwila, Cedar and selected interior woods. We hand turn up to 3 metres long either from our own measured patterns or to replicate any original work supplied.
